Определено харесваме нестандартните архитектурни решения, затова нямаше как да не споделим проекта на Джеймс Уитакър. Той е създал впечатляващ дом от корабни контейнери, който се намира в пустиня в Калифорния.

Къщата е наречена The Joshua Tree Residence и се състои от няколко свързани бели контейнера, които създават формата на корона на дърво, а според други на цвете.

The Joshua Tree Residence се простира на 200 кв м и включва 3 спални, 3 бани, кухня, хол и трапезария, които са с бели стени, бетони подове и са обзаведени минималистично.

Къщата е създадена от Уитакър за филмов продуцент и неговата жена, които живеят в Лос Анджелис. Планира се другата година да започне изграждането й.

This is the main living space in the Joshua Tree Residence, with the kitchen on the right hand side of the image. During the next phase of design work I’d really like to explore the options for having the windows to the living room openable, so those 3 bays become balconies.
